Class Duration: Eight weeks

Terms: $250.00 Due with application.
            $250.00 Due at commencement of first class.

Notification: Applicants will be contacted by e-mail with class time, class location, and class instructor. A syllabus will also be attached to that e-mail.

Class Dates: Dates for 2008-2009 academic year found on Application Form.

Class Times: Three times will be offered for each class. Applicants will select their first, second, and third preferences. Every effort will be made to accommodate time requested. However, ultimate choice for class time rests solely at the discretion of The Valley Academic Mentors.

Class Locations: Currently, courses will be held at the Raybeck and Jacobson residences.

Exceptions: If a large group of applications is received from an area greatly distant from Amherst/Hadley, then an effort will be made to find a location in that area. However, students should apply assuming that classes will be held in either Amherst or Hadley.

Instructors: Currently Doug Raybeck and Ken Jacobson are offering courses. However, in order to meet demand, other instructors may be added solely at the discretion of The Valley Academic Mentors. In that event, biographical material and CVs for additional instructors will be published.

Classes Offered:

• Jacobson will teach: Investigating the Cultures of Indigenous North Americans.
• Raybeck will teach: Anthropology and Analysis.
